Mini Sissinghurst White Garden

Mini Sissinghurst White Garden

Part of a wider garden that I have gradually developed over the years, this area was redesigned as a calm and private retreat, inspired by the client’s vision of a ‘Mini Sissinghurst’. I made a special visit to Sissinghurst to better understand the planting and atmosphere, translating its timeless white palette into a smaller, more personal setting.

Prior to this redesign, the planting had gradually grown uneven in density, and the space lacked the year-round structure needed to feel fully cohesive.

White planting was carefully woven through the borders using a mix of perennials and annuals to create softness and continuity. White roses were introduced and will gradually climb and be gently trained around the structure, echoing the romantic character of Sissinghurst. A weeping pear adds height and quiet structure, bringing balance and lightness to the space as it matures.
